Kelly Ridley
"I
graduated with a degree in physiotherapy in 1995 and completed
a Masters Degree in
Manipulative Physiotherapy
in 2006.
I have 9 years experience working with chronic back and
neck pain. My experience with specially designed courses
to help patients understand and manage long term pain
began in the private sector working with a team of doctors,
psychologists,
occupational therapists and fitness instructors. Using
this experience and a special interest, I developed the
Guys and St Thomas Functional Restoration Programme (pain
management classes) which began in 2000 and continue
to run today both in London and Brighton. The course you
can
attend is based on this programme."
Warren Travers
"I
graduated in 1997 with a first class honours degree from
Brighton University. I specialized in outpatient
musculo-skeletal
outpatients in 1999. Prior
to running these courses, I worked for the NHS for 10 years,
working as Superintendent Physiotherapist at
Brighton
General Hospital from 2005. Whilst working there, I played
a leading role in examining the latest research available
on the causes and prevention of long term pain conditions.
I have been running FRP’s for 4 years, and am passionate
about giving the patient ‘the best deal’ as
regards to preventing flare-ups or reoccurrences of pain
and minimizing
the effects of long term pain problems - not just providing
a ‘quick fix’. I am also a trained acupuncturist."
